Personalized exploration involves the preparation and decision making for students’ post-secondary plans. It is an important developmental, ongoing process that is supported throughout a student’s entire time in high school as they prepare for college and careers. In District 214, early planning for students’ post-high school future supports their post-secondary success.

Student Individualized Learning Plan
Each student should have an individualized learning plan to help make decisions on careers and post-secondary education or training, plan a course of study, and make financial aid assessments with family members.
Naviance is a comprehensive college and career readiness tool used across District 214 to help align student strengths and interests to postsecondary goals.
The ECRA profile is a holistic view of a student’s current high school performance and experiences that measures student success beyond a simple standardized test score. Through this tool, students will be able to assess progress towards becoming college and career ready. Students can login using their School Google Apps login.
Career Cruising is a web-based career exploration resource available to all students. The online resource includes career interest inventories, skills assessments, resume-building tools, video interviews of real world professionals, wage information and college options.
Talent Development Program (TDP)
District 214’s Talent Development Program offers high-achieving, highly motivated students opportunities to gain new skills and enhance existing talents through special programs.
