Educator Prep Signing Event

  • Forest View Educational Center 2121 S. Goebbert Road Arlington Heights, IL 60005 USA (map)

Educator Prep is a sequence of courses and experiences developed in cooperation with community partners across primary, secondary and post-secondary education, with the goal of developing the next generation of future accomplished educators in our community. High school experiences in Educator Prep start as early as freshmen year and can span college graduation and employment as a teacher in a primary or secondary school.

On May 2, Educator Prep's elementary, secondary, and post-secondary partners will come together at Forest View Education Center for a celebration of the commitment of current and new students in the program.

At this event students will be asked to sign a letter of intent for the Educator Prep program. The letter states that the student is aware of the opportunities the program provides and is dedicated to pursuing his or her ambitions in education. By signing it, they are taking a step on their path with the program's partners to becoming an accomplished educator within their community. Over the past three years, nearly 300 District 214 students have previously taken part in this event indicating their commitment to the field of education.
